Domaine Roger Perrin - Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 75cl

£33.50

Red | Blend | 2018 | 15% | Rhône

“A consistently excellent estate” - Robert Parker 2009

A domain consisting of 26ha of 42 parcels of vines between Orange and Châteauneuf du Pape. Many of the vines are over 60 years old, which enables the family to consistently produce superb wines.

A blend of mainly Grenache and Syrah. Dark colour ranging from ruby to black. Nose of red and black fruits, Provençal spices (garrigue), pepper, a slight touch of vanilla with some gamey nuances. Always very complex noses. On tasting, we find the different aromas felt olfactorily, all with a presence of very fine tannins. The mouth is ample and generous with a very pronounced length, a nice touch of freshness on the finish and a remarkable balance.

Perfect Pairing: Furred and feathered game, spicy food, full-bodied cheeses.
