Jean-Guy and Sandrine Monmarthe’s family has owned vineyards since 1737 and presently has 17ha of Premier Cru in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. The cuvée “Secret de Famille” is their original 1930s blend and represents 85% of their total production of 140,000 bottles per year.
A blend of 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier and 20% Chardonnay - blended from 3 vintages with over 2 years bottle age, with the addition of Coteaux Champenois Rouge for colour. Salmon pink colour. You will experience aromas of wild strawberries and red currants ending with flavours of prickly pear and liquorice.
Perfect Pairing: As an aperitif, chocolate tart, soft mild cheeses.
